About Me

Good day. My name is Honni Lizee and I am a Kindergarten teacher with Regina Catholic Schools. I have created this blog for two reasons. The first is that I am currently enrolled in a class called EC&I 831: Social Media & Open Education. As you can see, this class is about using Social Media in Education. For this class we must complete a Final Project of our choosing. Therein lies the inspiration for this blog. The second reason that I have created this blog is because over the years many parents have asked me if I have any websites or ideas about what they can do with their children at home in order to support their French Immersion education. With the creation of this blog, I hope to help parents find websites easier, as well as give them a few helpful hints and tricks about how to use the various websites.

Each blog posting will be a different website and will give you an overview of the different things that you can find on that specific website. If the website is in French only, I will attempt to help you navigate the site easier. I will tell you what I liked about the site, what I disliked about the site, any tricks that I might have discovered, as well as why I believe that the site would be useful.

If you have any questions about any of the sites that I have provided links to, please feel free to leave comments under the site that you are trying to use or having difficulties with. Also, if you would like to give me feedback as to what was useful for you and if you disagree with what I said, please do so also. I welcome all comments as they will help to make the blog more useful for you.

    Bonjour, hello, Honni!
Have just discovered your resourceful blog by doing a Google search on “teaching French to primary children”!! I will be taking the time to explore the various links you have provided – because I am a private French tutor in Ontario, working one-to-one with primary French Immersion students!!

Merci beaucoup! thank you so much. Will get back to you in awhile after exploring! Mme Nancy
